When i visited the various conservation/stonemason sites, i brought along my camera with me so that besides gathering information for research purposes, i could also test out my camera in the different locations to see how it copes in different environmental settings, so that i could consider such things as, lighting, shot composition, and also what lenses i could use while keeping the iso low. When i had the chance i would also try and use various equipment, such as the camera dolly + tracks to see what the end result would look like.
Here are some test shots i took on some of the visits.
Canterbury Cathedral apprentice workshop camera test shots using a Camera Dolly + tracks with a Canon 7D 18-135mm f3.5 lens at 18mm f3.5 ISO 640
Test shots and research from the Cathedral Stone yard over at Broad Oak in Canterbury, using the Canon 60D 17-85mm f4-5.6 wide angle lens.
