Here's some more footage that i found while searching for boxing videos online, to try an get some further inspiration as to the type of shots i can go for on my production days.

With this footage, the boxing scenes is similar to how i want to capture Grant fighting on the night at his boxing event, where by i'll be filming at the side of the ring, from a low angle looking upwards, only possibly getting face level shots during the intervals when Grant is being prepped for the next round. I'd also be filming the reaction of his Coach and Manager, plus crowd reactions

For this footage, what has drawn me towards it is the shot near the end where the boxer is punching towards the camera whilst he's inside of the ring. That specific shot i'm looking to replicate with Grant inside the ring, the camera will be emulating the trainer moving around the ring as Grant punches at him. (Time 2.38 - 2.51)

With this piece i like the colour pallet on certain of the scenes as it contributes towards the emotional feeling of the narrative. I also like how the low key lighting was used, but not to connote a negative message, but to kind of show the isolation and dedication of the boxer.
With the low key lighting shot ideally i would like to pull that off, however, unfouruntately during when Grant trains in the gym it is either during the day, or if in the evenings it's during a class, so i won't be able to achieve this type of shot.

Old school VHS distortion style footage, and also the warm colours.

I love everything about this video, the jogging shots, the close up and dolly shots of the clock, and also the contrast edit between the boxers house and gym. If i had more time, to be honest i would probably try to do something exactly like this, extending the shots and using more slow motion on certain shots i.e. shots of the guy on the punching bag.

With this i like the fact that it's a film noir style of production, also, i like how the light disperses around the gym, with a slight diffusion as if there is mist or steam diffusing the light. The use of close ups works really well, as the lens being used creates a really nice shallow depth of field, blurring out and diffusing the light even more giving it that cinematic feel.
