To give the actors the idea of what i'm aiming on the day of filming and the locations i'm looking to use, where we all live in different locations, i sent them a what i'd call an idea pack (if that makes sense lol) on Facebook.
What the message consisted of was:
- A copy of the opening act of The Meeting draft 4 screenplay (first 2 minutes)
- Examples of footage for the type of acting and feel i'm trying to go for
- Goole map/street view of the scene location
For nicholas (actor playing Phillip) i sent him the same pack but instead instructed him to dress up in the correct school uniform attire and also wear normal house clothes on the second scene of the opening act
Hey everyone, here is the opening scene that your going to be in.
(The meeting Act 1 draft 4)
On the day of filming can you dress in an incorrect attire, trainers, hat, hoody ect.. i have bought the same coloured ties for all of you to wear
This is an example of a short film that uses mobile phone footage in it. sort of the style i'm aiming for in the first minute of this video.
Here is an example of whats going to happen toPhillip
Here is a map of the scene location
Its the car park at the corner of the spar shop, and either of the two lamppost will be used on the day to duct tape Phillip to.
Do the google street view to see the spar shop
If theres any changes i'll update you straight away
safe
Having sent this to all of the actors they messaged me back saying that they understood the roles they have to do in relation to the script and also how the scene was set out.
