Because all of the fighters who are on the show are on Facebook, plus all of their potential ticket buyers are also on there; i feel as though Facebook would be the best platform to upload the video onto as it would achieve its full potential.
Because of face books recently upgraded video features, it allows auto playing of videos as you scroll down your newsfeed, but also, with the share; like and comment feature on Facebook this would allow the video to reach unintended audience's very easily. Each time a person likes, comments or share's a video it would appear on their friends news feed as "joe bloggs liked this video" or "Joe blogs commented on this video" thus allowing further people to view it. Another recently added feature which would also help to drive traffic is the hashtag feature, where if your video is on global (allows everyone to see, even non members of Facebook) the hashtag keywords would drive traffic through to the video if anyone was to search for a keyword such as #boxing #sports #boxer ect. The final feature is the paid promo feature in which you could display your video advertisement post as a premium paid advert to target a specific demographic setting aside a budget your willing to pay if your video receives a certain amount of views during it's campaign.
The downside of uploading a video onto Facebook is that the footage quality is severely reduced in comparison to uploading it onto Facebook or vimeo. Where you would get roughly 4.5 Mbps for a youtube video, for a Facebook video you would only get 1.4 Mbps, which viewed on a small screen wouldn't be to noticeable, but as soon as you enlarge the footage, be it on a laptop or a computer monitor you would notice the colour banding in the video and the blotched megapixels. However, in order to reach our target market audience we may have to make this sacrifice in order to secure guaranteed views of the video.
